Guatapé Tour

Here, we will travel back in time in a picturesque scale town that pays tribute to the original municipality, which was flooded in the 1970s to create the massive reservoir we see today. Next, we will head to the base of the towering El Peñol Rock. You will have time to admire its grandeur from below, and if you accept the challenge (climbing ticket not included), you can hike its more than 700 steps to be rewarded with what many consider "the best view in the world": a spectacular maze of green islands surrounded by turquoise waters. Our adventure continues to the charming town of Guatapé. We will walk through its cobblestone streets to discover the secret of its facades: the world-famous "zócalos". These beautiful, brightly colored bas-relief artworks on the lower part of the houses tell the stories, trades, and traditions of the local families. We will stroll through the vibrant Zócalos Square and the iconic Memory Street (Calle del Recuerdo). To complete the experience, we will enjoy a delicious traditional Colombian lunch and navigate the waters of the reservoir on a relaxing boat tour. From the water, we will spot beautiful estates, natural islands, and the emblematic cross peaking out of the water, marking the exact spot where the old town of El Peñol rests.
